Pomegranates help fight cancer
Studies conducted by American universities have revealed the beneficial effects of pomegranate juice in fighting different cancers.
UCLA researchers found that drinking pomegranate juice releases ellagitannins, which may fight prostate cancer when digested into chemicals called urolithins.
A recent research by the University of Wisconsin-Madison shows that consuming pomegranates could potentially help reduce the growth and spread of lung cancer cells.
Another study reveals that Pomegranate juice can act as aromatase inhibitors, which block the synthesis of estrogen, and reduce the growth of breast cancer cells.
Pomegranate fruit has also been used in treating heart disease, high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol.
